Treatment Purpose:

Treatment Committees are formed to coordinate the work of indi- vidual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics in treatment and outpatient settings, and to set up means of “bridging the gap” from the facility to an A.A. group in the individual’s community.

Accessibility Purpose:

Accessibility issues apply to all alcoholics who have difficulties participating in Alcoholics Anonymous. Throughout the Fellowship, A.A.s are discovering that the common bond of recovery can transcend these access issues whatever the barrier in receiving the A.A. message may be. Members of Accessibilities Committees often explore, develop and offer resources to make the A.A. message and participation in our program available to everyone who reaches out for it.
